This Privacy Policy describes Our policies and procedures on the collection, access, use, storage, and disclosure of your information when you use the Myocoach mobile application (the "Application" or "Service") and informs you of your privacy rights and legal protections.

We use your Personal and Health Data to provide and improve the Service. By using Myocoach, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

Myocoach is a workout logging, strength training, and athletic conditioning application. To deliver features such as real-time biometric telemetry, training volume tracking, recovery baselines, and personalized workout analytics, Myocoach accesses, collects, and processes specific Health Data.

  1. Direct User Input: Information you manually record in Myocoach, such as logged exercises, sets, repetitions, weights, body weight, or height.
  2. Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) Wearables: With your explicit permission (BLUETOOTH_SCAN, BLUETOOTH_CONNECT), Myocoach connects to paired heart rate monitors and smartwatches to stream real-time heart rate telemetry during active workouts.
  3. Android Device Sensors: Utilizing the device's physical activity sensor (ACTIVITY_RECOGNITION) to detect workout motion and step progress.
  4. Google Health Connect APIs: With your explicit runtime permission, Myocoach reads historical and baseline health data (steps, sleep, resting heart rate, body composition) and writes completed workout sessions, distance, and calorie expenditure back to Health Connect.

Medical Disclaimer: Myocoach is designed solely for fitness, athletic training, and personal wellness monitoring. Myocoach is not a medical device and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or medical condition. Always consult a qualified medical professional before starting any new exercise routine.

3. Google Health Connect Limited Use Disclosure

Myocoach's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google Health Connect APIs adheres to the Google Play Health Connect Permissions Policy, including the Limited Use requirements:

  1. Permitted Use Only: We only use Health Connect data to provide and improve user-facing features that are prominent in the Myocoach user interface.
  2. Prohibition on Advertising: Health Connect data is never used for advertising, interest-based ad targeting, retargeting, user profiling, or personalization of ads.
  3. Prohibition on Sale of Data: We do not sell, rent, lease, trade, or transfer Health Connect data to third parties, data brokers, advertising platforms, or information resellers under any circumstances.
  4. Strict Isolation from Advertising SDKs: Although Myocoach displays general banner/interstitial advertisements via Google AdMob, Health Connect data, biometric records, and health data are strictly isolated and are NEVER shared with, accessed by, or transmitted to Google AdMob or any other advertising SDK.
  5. Human Access Restrictions: We do not allow human beings to read user Health Connect data unless:
    • We have obtained your affirmative explicit consent for specific messages (e.g. customer technical support or troubleshooting);
    • It is necessary for security purposes (such as investigating abuse or technical bugs);
    • It is required to comply with applicable laws; or
    • The data is aggregated and anonymized for internal system diagnostics.

A. Personal Account Data

When you create an account or back up your data, we may collect your email address, name/display name, and authentication tokens (e.g., via Google Sign-In or Firebase Auth).

B. Camera Access

With your explicit runtime permission (CAMERA), Myocoach accesses your device camera solely to scan QR codes (e.g. gym equipment linking, profile sharing, or syncing workout routines). All QR processing is performed strictly on-device in real-time. Myocoach does not photograph, record, store, or transmit camera images or video feeds to any remote server.

C. Bluetooth & Nearby Devices

Permissions (BLUETOOTH_SCAN, BLUETOOTH_CONNECT) are requested exclusively to scan for and connect to Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) fitness accessories (heart rate straps, smart bands) during active workouts. We do not use Bluetooth for location tracking or marketing beacons.

D. Technical & Usage Diagnostics

We automatically collect standard diagnostic data including device model, operating system version, app version, crash traces, and basic anonymous performance diagnostics to ensure application stability.
