This Privacy Policy outlines the policies, procedures, and security controls governing how MyoCoach ("We", "Us", or "Our") collects, accesses, processes, synchronizes, and safeguards information when you use the MyoCoach mobile application (the "Application") and website located at https://myocoach.app (the "Service").
Your privacy and physical biometric security are our highest priority. We use your fitness, workout, and health metrics solely to provide high-precision strength training analytics, volume computation, and progressive overload tracking.
1. Summary of Core Principles
Strict Privacy Commitment: We NEVER sell, rent, trade, or monetize your personal or health data. Health and biometric data collected through the app or Google Health Connect is NEVER shared with advertising networks (including Google AdMob), data brokers, or third-party marketers.
2. Comprehensive Health & Fitness Data Disclosure (Health Connect)
MyoCoach is a dedicated workout logging, hypertrophy, and strength training companion. In order to calculate workout volume, track recovery baselines, measure workout intensity, and estimate energy expenditure, MyoCoach integrates with Google Health Connect on supported Android devices.

B. Google Health Connect Limited Use Disclosure
MyoCoach strictly complies with the Google Play Health Connect Permissions Policy, including all Limited Use requirements:
- Permitted Uses Only: Information accessed via Health Connect is used solely to provide and improve user-facing features that are prominent in the MyoCoach user interface (workout logs, volume charts, fatigue baselines, and weight progression).
- Strict Prohibition on Advertising: Under no circumstance is Health Connect data used or transferred for advertising, user retargeting, cross-app profiling, or personalized promotions.
- Prohibition on Data Sales: We do not sell, rent, license, or exchange Health Connect data with third parties or data aggregators.
- AdMob Advertising Isolation: While MyoCoach displays general non-personalized advertisements to free-tier users via Google AdMob, Health Connect data, heart rate biometrics, and workout logs are strictly isolated and are NEVER exposed, transferred, or accessible to Google AdMob or any other advertising SDK.
- Human Access Restrictions: We prohibit human beings from inspecting your health data unless you have given explicit consent for technical troubleshooting, it is strictly required for application cybersecurity, or it is required to comply with applicable law.
Medical Disclaimer: MyoCoach is designed solely for sports conditioning, gym training, and athletic logging. MyoCoach is not a medical device and is not intended to diagnose, treat, prevent, or cure any medical condition. Always consult a physician before beginning any strenuous lifting program.
3. Device Permissions & Hardware Access
A. Camera Permission (android.permission.CAMERA)
MyoCoach requests camera permission strictly to scan QR codes (for example, gym equipment barcodes, coach/athlete pairing codes, or routine sharing). All image processing is performed 100% on-device in real-time. MyoCoach does not record, take photos, capture video, or upload any camera feeds to remote servers.
B. Bluetooth & Nearby Devices (BLUETOOTH_SCAN, BLUETOOTH_CONNECT)
Used exclusively to discover and connect to Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) athletic sensors (such as chest-strap heart rate monitors or smart bands) during active gym sessions. We do not use Bluetooth for location tracking or marketing beacons.
C. Notifications & Exact Alarms (POST_NOTIFICATIONS, SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM)
Used to deliver rest timer alerts between sets, scheduled workout reminders, and notification updates when your coach modifies your routine.
4. Cloud Synchronization & Storage
- User Accounts & Cloud Backup: When you sign in (via Google Sign-In or email), your workout routines, logged sets, exercise history, and user settings are securely synchronized to Google Firebase (Firestore and Firebase Authentication).
- Encryption in Transit & At Rest: All communications between your device and Google Firebase are encrypted via modern Transport Layer Security (HTTPS / TLS 1.3). Firebase databases are encrypted at rest with industry-standard cryptographic algorithms.
- Coach-Athlete Collaboration: If you intentionally connect your account with a verified coach on MyoCoach, only your authorized coach can view your assigned routines and logged gym sessions. You can disconnect from your coach at any time in Settings.
5. User Controls, Data Retention & Permanent Deletion
You have full autonomy over your data:
- How to Revoke Health Connect Permissions: You can modify or revoke MyoCoach's Health Connect permissions at any time on your Android device by going to:
Settings → Security & Privacy → Privacy → Health Connect → Apps with access → MyoCoach. - How to Permanently Delete Your Account & Data:
- In-App: Open the MyoCoach app → go to Settings → scroll to Account → tap Delete Account & Data. All workout records, routines, biometrics, and cloud backups will be permanently purged.
- By Email Request: Send an email from your registered account email to pandude29@gmail.com with the subject "Data Deletion Request". We will permanently delete your account and all associated records from our live databases within 14 days.
6. Children's Privacy
MyoCoach is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or under 16 in certain jurisdictions). We do not knowingly collect personal or health information from minors. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately to have the data removed.
7. Policy Updates
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect feature enhancements, platform updates, or regulatory requirements. Any modifications will be posted directly to this URL (https://myocoach.app/privacy.html) with an updated revision date.
